Planning trips this fall? Plan ahead for service work or an inspection to make sure you are good to go!
Waiting until 3 days before your trip does not work! Current wait times for major work other than timing belts is approx 10-15 days. This is a good time to get a Dieselgeek Panzer plate installed as well. Lots of debris in the roads. Critters too. Plus I've had more than a few clients save their engines in off-road excursions. They are available at www.dieselgeek.com you can order them and have the parts drop shipped to me directly. Just make sure you let me know.
Tired of the $800-1000 bill for the 40-80K service on your new common rail car? We are about half that amount. All 09-13' VW and Audi Clean diesels.
Please note that I prefer to not just do "oil changes". If you need you larger 40-80-120K services that isn't an issue. Newer cars take at least 45 min a car to do a change and I am just too busy to do 20 of these a week. Your best bet is to see VW for the 10K oil change service. They use the same oil and filter I do. A few of you have taken this the wrong way so I'm just making it known. I'm not jiffy-lube....
I've also been getting flack from 3rd and 4th owners about the cost of timing belts and service. I'll say it now, just because the car is old does not mean it is any less expensive to do maintenance. Timing belt jobs did not magically go to half price because the car is 10 plus years old. Yes you can buy the kits on line for $300 or so. No it does not change the price of the work. Period. I am a fully insured licensed shop with the same overhead as everyone else. I will not install your timing belt for $100. Or for any amount you just randomly toss out. If you don't like the price that is already 30-40% under the dealer do it yourself! Not trying to be a buzzkill here but it needed to be said.
We also do not do "small electrical issues" I am primarily a mechanical shop. That means I do not do window switches, radios, wiring, etc, etc....I will install alternators, glow plug systems etc though. That is engine related. If you need wiring work I can refer you to my long time electrician and friend.
We do NOT work on grease cars. Don't even bother asking. That includes timing belts.
We are NOT responsible for any lot damage and or break-ins to cars. If the car is outside it is at your own risk. We have not got an issue here but I just have to state it for obvious reasons. CYA....
